Rishikesh – March 2023

This year’s journey to Rishikesh, the first after 3 years of lockdown was full of mixed emotions. India’s once serene and peaceful yoga capital set at the foothills of the Himalayas has changed into a bustling tourist town. It is now an important recommendation for anyone travelling to Rishikesh to do their yoga teacher training to seek advice and the guidance of a travel facilitator when booking your stay.

Nepal – Oct/Nov 2018

I did a visa run to Nepal for two weeks and stayed in Boudha, Kathmandu in very close proximitly to the Boudha Stupa. Listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1979 it is one of the largest spherical stupas in the world containing relics and used as a place of meditation. With gratitude to Kapil Rai my Nepalese friend and travel companion who accompanied me on the 33 hour hair-raising bus ride back to Delhi.
